A concept born out of a desire to work with artists and photographers that Ays and Khaled know and hold in esteem due to what they are able to bring across in their work, the upcoming AYS ‘Brainchild’ Project will be distinctly different than anything you’ve seen from them before. Each photographer is set to contribute photographs for the project, using pieces from Art Youth Society, and incorporating them into their own unique work of art. This project places the emphases on artistic interpretation.
The look and style of each shoot are decided on completely by the contributing photographer. This art and photography based project will serve as an outlet for each artist to showcase his or her work. In a fashion that is entirely mutual and collectively based, this art project is another example of Art Youth Society supporting the people and ideas that they believe in.
Luminary artists and photographers including Grey Etc, Yvan Rodic (Face Hunter), Steven Taylor, Sharon Jane D, Robert Wunsch, GL Wood, and Kimi Hammerstroem have contributed to the project, using pieces from Art Youth Society, and incorporating them into their own unique work.
In the coming weeks, Art Youth Society will release interviews with each artist involved and a selection of their work in the AYS ‘Brainchild’ Project, the first of which will be Grey Etc.; collaborative brainchild of photographers Nadia Sarwar and Drex Drechsel.
